Brent Barksdale is a husband, father, political consultant, coffee addict and obsessed with finding the best gumbo and macaroni and cheese around. In his political life, he is Senior Vice-President with Jamestown Associates. Brent has over 16 years of political experience on the local, state and national level and has been involved in political races in over 20 states including Louisiana, Texas, California, and Virginia.

Most recently, Brent gained national attention with a political ad called “The Donkey Whisperer” which has been viewed on youtube over 1.5 million times and has been featured on Fox News and MSNBC.

Brent’s previous work has been twice recognized among the nation’s best, earning him national Pollie Awards from the American Society of Political Consultants. Brent is the author of Winning Political Tips,  The Little Book of Louisiana Political Quotes, The Little Book of Louisiana Political Quotes 2 and co-author of 25 Fundraising Secrets, Raise More Money Guaranteed.

He has contributed to Campaigns & Elections Politics Magazine Campaign Insider Blog and travels the country lecturing on campaign strategy and grassroots organization.

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brent has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Louisiana State University.
